International Conference and Industrial Exhibition on Dairy Science Park (DSP V – xxxxx Khartum)

Theme: Achieving Sustainable Development through Academia-Industry Linkages
The 4th International Conference and Industrial Exhibition on Dairy Science Park was held on November 1st to 5th, 2017 at Selçuk University- Konya, Turkey. The event was continuation of the series held during November 2011, 2013 and 2015 at Peshawar, Pakistan. The three conferences focused on rehabilitation of the post-flood Dairy Sector; Halal meat export potential of the Region and entrepreneurship-based hygienic food production respectively. The fourth event of the series was held with the theme “Achieving Food Security through Entrepreneurship Development and Biorisk Management (BRM)”.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Special Assistant to Chief Minister, Arif Yousaf said, “The scientists in Pakistan and Turkey will work to together to organize such conferences and high level consultation for establishment of technology centers in the future. Certificates were presented to delegates and authors. Dr Mithat Direk thanked the delegates for their participation in the Conference and invited them to visit Konnya Teknokent and City Center, comprising Mevlana Mazar, Mueum, Selle City. Prof M Subhan Qureshi thanked all the delegates and their sponsors for participation in the conference and presenting papers. He informed the delegates the next program will, hopefully, be held during November 2019 in China, Sudan, Egypt, Turkey or Pakistan, in consultation with the DSP executive team.
On recommendation of Dr LM Wasma, attending DSP IV – 2017 Konya, Prof Ibtisam E M El Zubeir, Department of Dairy Product, Faculty of Animal Production, University of Khartoum, P.O. Box 32, Postal code 13314, Sudan, agreed to be the Conference Chairman of the Fifth International Conference and Industrial Exhibition on Dairy Science Park to be held at Khartoum University, Khartoum, Sudan. The proposal was agreed by DSP Head Office with thanks.
A larger fraction of human population around the Globe is not having access to appropriate foods, health, decent work and and economic growth. In addition the women folks is not provided sufficient opportunities in education, social life and economic empowerment. DSP has covered these issues through partner organizations under sustainable development goals number 2, 3, 5 and 8 calling for food security, health safety, gender equality and economic growth. Biorisk Management Curriculum was developed for life science degrees and quality control certification was introduced for hygienic and Halal concepts in food value chain. Based upon these contributions DSP has been accepted by the United Nations as #SDGAction9671.
DSP V – xxxx Khartum would be an excellent opportunity for scientists, academicians, development practitioners, industry representatives and civil society to present their papers, participate in discussions and display their products.
