Collaborations made with Relief International

Collaboration was established with Relief International by Prof M Subhan Qureshi as Dean Vet Sciences, University of Agriculture Peshawar. Prof Khan Bahadar Marwat, Vice Chancellor AU Peshawar signed an MoU with Relief International Pakistan represented by Dr Zia Haider. Under the MoU the Priority research themes for Zoonoses will be:

1. Measure the morbidity, mortality, and economic burden of Zoonotic diseases in humans and animals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

2. Determine the spatial, temporal, and directional interactions of transmission between wildlife, humans, and domestic animals

3. Develop field diagnostics for Zoonotic diseases.

4. Conduct cost-benefit, cost-effectiveness, and affordability analysis of Zoonoses interventions.

One Day National Consultation Workshop “Control & Prevention of Zoonoses in Pakistan” Bio Engagement Program Relief International Pakistan October 08, 2013, Islamabad. 

One February 12, 2016, Certificates Distribution Ceremony was held after completion of 5 Days Training on “Bio Risk Management ” by Relief International. We are thankful to Dean FAHVS Professor Dr M Subhan Qureshi Chairman Department of Animal Health Professor Dr Umer Sadique and #ReliefInternational facilitated this great opportunity. The whole training was conducted under the Umbrella and Support of Dairy Science Park (DSP).

Regional Students Seminar (Afghanistan-Pakistan) at UAP sponsored by Relief International. Shields were presented by the Acting Vice Chancellor AUP Prof Zahid Hussain and Dean FAHVS Prof. Dr. M S M Subhan Qureshi.

Omeg-3 Fatty acids rich eggs presented to Prof Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, of Nangarhar University, Afghanistan. Officials of Relief International and Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, AU Peshawa are also present.
